FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA)
For many students, paying for college is unattainable. While it is true that the cost of college is increasing an average of 2.6% for the past 10 years, colleges, universities, and private groups are working harder than ever in trying to find ways to help you achieve your dreams.
The first step is to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application or the Dream Act Application for Undocumented Students.
The FAFSA window opens October 1st and you must apply before March 2nd.
Attend the FAFSA Financial Aid Presentation with your Parents.
The FAFSA will determine what kind of financial aid you qualify for: Grants, Scholarships, Work Study, Loans, etc.
Ask about the Community College Promise Grants and the EOP(S) opportunities.
Each college/university has scholarship opportunities to help you pay for college so be sure to communicate with the institutions.
