NAVIANCE LOGIN
In the Fall, move all colleges (CSU's, UC's, Out-of-State Schools, Private Universities, Community Colleges, and Technical Schools) from the "Colleges I'm Thinking About" section to the "Colleges I'm Applying To" section in Naviance.
Work on your Resume Builder, if you are applying to a Private College /University or to create a Job Resume. Continue to post all your extra-curricular activities such as: volunteer hours, clubs, sports, awards, etc...
In the Spring, post where you are attending college so we can send your final transcript.
CHECK YOUR EMAIL REGULARLY
Colleges/Universities will use email to notify you if you are missing vital documents from your College Application.
You will be notified via email if you have been accepted to their College/University.
PRIVATE / OUT-OF-STATE UNIVERSITY APPLICATION DEALINES
The Private / Out-of-State Universities require for you to complete the following:
Deadline to apply varies. *It is extremely important to meet with your Counselor to assure your documents are submitted on time.
Complete and submit the Secondary School Report (SSR) and List of Colleges to your Counselor which includes: Letters of Recommendation, School Profile, Transcript, Teacher and Counselor Evaluation documents for Early Decision and Regular Decision.
Complete and submit your Common Application.
COMMUNITY COLLEGE APPLICATION DEADLINES
The Community College Application window opens to apply online in the Spring (April/May).
Check the guidelines for applying to a Community Colleges in California (CCCApply).
Check the Local Community College Websites / Promise Grants / EOPS Opportunities.

CREDITS / GRADES
Students must earn a minimum of 220 Credits in required courses to meet the Graduation Requirements.
Students will be enrolled in 6 classes, and every class passed successfully will earn 5 credits.
Students must earn a "C" or better grade to move on to the next level of classes.
Review the Graduation and "A-G" Requirements and the Course Sequence Matrix.
Seniors with less than 160 credits at the start of their senior year, must contact their Counselor immediately to create a graduation plan.
COLLEGES / CAREERS
Students must meet the "A-G" Requirements with a "C" or better grade to be eligible for a 4-year University, and take the SAT or ACT College Entrance Exam (TBD). The University of California (UC) and Private Universities require a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students earning "D" grades will need to retake the class for a better grade.
Attend Grade Level Presentations & Workshops.
Attend College / Career Fairs.
EXAMS
November - LAST CHANCE to take the SAT or ACT College Entrance Exams. Students applying to competitive programs or Private Colleges will also want to take at least (2) SAT subject area exams to provide additional data if required.

Select up to four Colleges to send your SAT scores (FREE) when you register for the exam with this code 3594.
Send to (one) CSU and all CSU's will receive your scores.
Send to (one) UC and all UC's will receive your scores.
Send to (two) Private Universities. Make sure to take advantage of this!
FINANCIAL AID
Apply for FAFSA or the Dream Act Application for Undocumented Students. FAFSA window opens to apply from (October 1 - March 2).

Attend Cash4College workshops for support.
Ask about the Community College Promise Grants and the EOP(S) opportunities.
CSU / UC COLLEGE
APPLICATION DEADLINES
California State University (CSU) Application window opens to apply online from (October 1 - November 1).
You are required to self-report all your courses and grades. Request an unofficial transcript from your Counselor to complete your application.
Apply early and submit your college applications before the Thanksgiving Holiday!

University of California (UC) Application window opens to apply online from (November 1- 30).
You are required to self-report all your courses and grades. Request an unofficial transcript from your Counselor to complete your application.

WICHE PROGRAM
Explore the WICHE WEBSITE . The Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) Agreement allows students who are residents of WICHE states to be eligible to request a reduced tuition rate at participating two or four-year college programs outside of their home state.
