The New Counseling Platform "California College Guidance Initiative" will be coming soon.
CREDITS / GRADES
Students must earn a minimum of 220 Credits in required courses to meet the Graduation Requirements.
Students will be enrolled in 6 classes, and every class passed successfully will earn 5 credits.
Students must earn a "C" or better grade to move on to the next level of classes.
Review the Course Sequence Matrix by Grade Level, the Course Sequence Flowchart by Subject, and the Graduation and "A-G" Requirements.
Attend the Grade Level Presentations and Workshops.
Seniors with less than 160 credits at the start of their senior year, must contact their Counselor immediately to create a graduation plan.
2023-2024 MANDATORY COUNSELOR REPORT
All Seniors must complete the Counselor Report form. Starting August 2023, our district is no longer using Naviance. Students will need to login with their school email to access the form.
This form is due no later than Sunday, October 1st, 2023. If you have a September College Application deadline, you must submit this form at least 5 school days (not the weekend or holiday) prior to your deadline.
PRIVATE / OUT-OF-STATE UNIVERSITY APPLICATION DEALINES
The Private / Out-of-State Universities require for you to complete the following:
Deadline to apply varies. Students must be prepared with all appropriate information to not miss a deadline.
Complete and submit the Counselor Report 2023-2024 form which includes: Letters of Recommendation, School Profile, Transcript, Teacher and Counselor Evaluation documents for Early Decision and Regular Decision.
Complete and submit your Common Application.
Complete your Brag Sheet with all your extra-curricular activities such as: volunteer hours, clubs, sports, awards, etc. and upload it to your Counselor Report.
Complete your Secondary School Report (SSR) form and upload it to your Counselor Report.
Your mid-year report and transcript will be submitted Mid-January, and your final report/transcript in June.
For Early Action/Decision - you should hear back sometime in December/January.
For Regular Decision - you should hear back sometime between January/April.
WICHE PROGRAM
Explore the WICHE WEBSITE . The Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) Agreement allows students who are residents of WICHE states to be eligible to request a reduced tuition rate at participating two or four-year college programs outside of their home state.

CHECK YOUR PERSONAL EMAIL FREQUENTLY
All Colleges/Universities communicates via email to notify you if you are missing vital documents from your College Application and if you have been accepted to their College/University.
Check your personal email frequently. Create your college portal and check the housing deadlines.
You will notify the College by May 1st on your Intent to Enroll. You will notify ST on your attending college so we can send your final transcript.
SENDING TEST SCORES TO COLLEGES
Test scores are not required to apply to community colleges, CSU's, and UC's. Some Private and Out of State Universities continue to require test scores so do your research.
November - LAST CHANCE to take the SAT or ACT College Entrance Exams if required.

Send your AP Test Scores via AP College Board
Select up to four Colleges to send your SAT scores (FREE) when you register for the exam with this code 3594.
Send to (one) CSU and all CSU's will receive your scores.
Send to (one) UC and all UC's will receive your scores.
Send to (two) Private Universities. Make sure to take advantage of this!
If you have a fee waiver to take the SAT, you can send scores to as many colleges as your want for FREE - Submit an Income Eligibility Waiver.
Send all scores, CSUs will super score which use the highest score from each test sitting
FINANCIAL AID
Apply for FAFSA or the CADAA Dream Act Application for Undocumented Students before April 2nd. FAFSA window opens to apply starting in December 31st.

Attend the FAFSA/CADAA Presentation on January 17th @6pm in the Theater (English), in the Library (Spanish).

Attend Cash4College workshops for 1:1 support. March 18 Cash4College Workshop from 5-7pm in room 108.

CSU / UC COLLEGE APPLICATION DEADLINES
The California State University (CSU) Application window opens to apply online from (October 1 - November 30).
University of California (UC) Application window opens to apply online from (October 1- November 30).
You are required to self-report all your courses and grades. Request an unofficial transcript from your Counselor to complete your application.
You are not required to submit a transcript unless the College requests one.
Apply early and submit your college applications before the Thanksgiving Holiday!

COMMUNITY COLLEGE APPLICATION DEADLINES
The Community College Application window opens to apply online in the Spring (March/April). Check the CCCApply Guidelines for applying to a Community Colleges in California.
Attend the Community College Fair on March 13th during Lunch in the MPR and Community College Workshops starting March 15th during Tutorial, students request Ms. Doi.
