Overview
Welcome to Santa Teresa High School (STHS). New students are about to experience learning and growing in a safe, but exciting academic and social environment. Returning students have a key role to play in welcoming those who are new to STHS. You also have the opportunity to experience a more relevant curriculum, based on Common Core State Standards, that emphasize understanding how to solve math problems instead of rote memorization and other subjects that will engage and encourage you to become independent, thinking citizens of our new connected and rapidly changing world.
Santa Teresa High School cherishes the dedication of our parent/guardian volunteers and all adult engagement of our students' academic, social, and extracurricular activities. Your continued support of our students and our school is what separates STHS from all other schools.

Extracurricular Activities
Students can participate in a variety of extracurricular activities, including intramural and regional competitive sports, performing arts and more than 30 clubs and activities.
Block Schedule
With the intention of decreasing student academic stress and increasing students' opportunity for learning, Santa Teresa High School adopted a four day block schedule with a three day a week Advisory/Tutorial period.
Community
Students are active members of the school community who are encouraged to advocate for themselves and their peers.
Key Programs and Magnets
Multimedia:
STHS is a multimedia magnet school. Students take four years of multimedia courses focusing on Adobe Creative Suite software tools, graphic design, digital video and music production.
AP:
STHS offers 19 courses for 10th-12th grade students.
American Sign Language:
In addition to Spanish, French, and Vietnamese, STHS is proud to offer American Sign Language (ASL 1, ASL 2, ASL 3, ASL 4) as A-G approved World Language courses.
Santa Teresa High School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
