SEAP Eligibility

Current ESUHSD seniors are guaranteed admission to SJSU through the class of 2026* if they:

Have a 2.5 GPA
SJSU admissions requires a 2.75 but ESUHSD students get a .25 GPA local boost
Complete all A-G courses with a C- or better
Meet all deadlines and SJSU eligibility requirements

Students must meet the eligibility index (EI) for their intended major. Those who do not qualify for a specific major will be admitted as Undeclared. More details are available at the Spartan East Side Promise website.

Admission & Application Workshop

This workshop covers CSU and SJSU admission requirements, key application terms, deadlines, and a step-by-step guide to the Cal State Apply process.

To Apply:

Apply to SJSU or any CSU through Cal State Apply.
Make sure you are applying for Fall 2025.
Meet the CSU Eligibility Requirements for admission.
Apply by the application deadline: December 2nd.

After You're Accepted:

Provisional Admission offers will be posted in MySJSU by late February or early March of senior year.

Complete the Intent to Enroll process by May 1st.

Final admission is contingent on completing all requirements by high school graduation, verified through final transcript evaluation.

Register by May 31st for the ESUHSD Spartan Summer Program, created by SESP with ESUHSD and the East Side Education Foundation.

Orientation is mandatory to confirm admission and register for courses.
