Photography 1 & 2

Photography 1  and 2 are comprehensive year-long courses designed for students who are interested in learning the basics of photography. In this course, students will become proficient in operating a 35mm camera, experimenting with lighting, and understanding the principles of composition. They will also be introduced to the elements of art and principles of design, and learn how to apply these concepts to their photographic work.

Throughout the course, students will develop an understanding of both traditional and digital photography. They will learn how to develop black and white film, print, and explore various camera techniques. In addition, they will learn the basics of digital photography and the evolution of photography as a medium. Students will have the opportunity to photograph a variety of subject matter and create a photo portfolio that will be built throughout the entire school year.

Photography is not only a valuable lifelong source of enjoyment but also a potential career choice. This course will prepare students for further study in photography and related fields. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in the technical aspects of photography, as well as an understanding of the creative possibilities it offers. They will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to pursue their passion for photography, whether as a hobby or a career.
