AP English Language and Composition is a college-level course that develops advanced rhetorical reading, writing, and analytical skills through the study of diverse nonfiction and selected literary texts. Students evaluate how writers use rhetorical strategies across a variety of genres, construct evidence-based arguments, and refine their writing for purpose, audience, and style in preparation for college-level coursework and the AP English Language and Composition Exam.
